Description
The Department of Engineering Management and Technology (EMT) at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Levels in Construction Management.

Qualifications
A successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

Ph.D. in related engineering, construction management, or a closely related field from an ABET accredited program giving him/her the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the commercial construction curriculum. Individuals with industrial or research experience in commercial construction are highly encouraged to apply.

Applicants who are "all but dissertation" (ABD) will be considered for faculty positions at UTC; however, the degree must be awarded before August 1, 2020.

Applicants should be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate students in research.

This position also requires establishing working relationships with local industries for education, training, and research activities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and inspire students are desired, along with the ability to develop a nationally and internationally recognized and funded research program.

The EMT Department, as part of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS), offers an ABET-ETAC accredited B.S. degree in Engineering Technology Management with concentrations in Engineering Management and Construction Management, B.A.S degree in Mechatronics, and an M.S. degree in Engineering Management with concentration in Construction Management .
